Microhabitat composition: sand = <0.2 cm, gravel = 0.2–2 cm, microlithal = 2–6 cm, mesolithal = 6–20 cm, macrolithal = 20–40 cm, megalithal = >40 cm (Buffagni and Erba, 2007); the average depth was measured at a flow rate of 1.2 m3/s by sampling at least 15 points.
